Ideally based at the Eemshaven, M.V. Dolphin II left the docks 3 times a day and headed towards the coast of the German Island of Borkum. When it reached the compulsory 3 sea mileages outside the territorial waterways, the closets full with butter, coffee and cookies were opened and the sales could begin. From 1981 the company was taken over by mr. Streng. Round the late 80¡¯s, he saw sales dropping and he had to review his assortment. People no longer wanted cheap products, but the demand for luxury goods increased. This lead to a considerable extension of the products offered, such as Whiskey, expensive perfumes, cigarettes and jewellery. The name of these sailings changed into Tax Free Mini Cruise and from then on, the company name was Shipping Company Kamstra Travel B.V.
