About The Tassili, Algeria

The N¡¯Ajjer Tassili, with its strange lunar landscapes, was registered on the UNESCO world heritage list in 1982. It is famous for its rock drawings and paintings, the most beautiful in the world. Sometimes more than 8000 years old, these thousands of frescoes show human figures, wild animals such as elephants and giraffes, as well as domestic animals such as cows or goats.
