"Day 1: Greeted on arrival at Delhi airport and transferred to your hotel. Remainder of the day is at leisure. Accommodation at Oberoi Hotel. (D)

Day 2: Full day Delhi sightseeing including Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk. Visit the cremation sites of Mahatma Gandhi. Continue to New Delhi to visit Qutub Minar, India Gate, President’s Estate, Parliament buildings, Diplomatic Enclave, Connaught Place and commercial centre. Accommodation at Oberoi Hotel.

Day 3: Drive to Neemrana and visit Fort-Palace, which is among India’s oldest heritage resorts. After lunch continue to Jaipur. Accommodation at Hotel Rambagh Palace. (B, L, D)

Day 4: Elephant or jeep ride to Amber Fort. Visit the Sheesh Mahal (Hall of Mirrors), Jai Mahal and return to Jaipur, also known as the Pink City. Afternoon visit of important sites; the City Palace, Govind Dev Temple, Chaguan Stadium and Hawa Mahal. Accommodation at Hotel Rambagh Palace. (B, D)

Day 5: A drive through countryside includes stops at Bharatpur, famous for its bird sanctuary, and Fatehpur Sikri, a Mughal walled city with Hindu and Islamic styles. Accommodation at Hotel Amar Villas. (B, D)

Day 6: Morning sightseeing tour of Agra includes its world famous “dream in marble” - the Taj Mahal. Continue to Agra Fort, seeing various palaces and the Halls of Public and Private Audience. Accommodation at Hotel Amar Villas. (B, D)

Day 7: After breakfast, transfer to the train station. Train to Khajuraho. Greeted on arrival and transferred to your hotel. Accommodation at Hotel Taj Chandela. (B, D)

Day 8: Visit the magnificent group of temples built by the Chantela dynasty, which is a Unesco World Heritage Site. Star features of today are the Asparas, main Shikhara and erotic panels. Return to the hotel to enjoy the early evening hours. Accommodation at Hotel Taj Chandela. (B, D)

Day 9: Morning flight to Varanasi. Your guide meets you upon arrival. Drive to Sarnath. Varanasi is sacred to Hindus as Sarnath is to Buddhists. Buddha gave his first sermon, after the enlightenment, here. Visit the sites and return to Varanasi. Accommodation at Hotel Taj Chandela. (B, D)

Day 10: Full day tour to learn and see the ritual dip on Ganges, sacred ghats, cremation ghats, Vishwanath Temple. In the evening, take a short cruise to enjoy the prayers of the river, which consist of oil lamps and sacred mantras. Return to Varanasi airport for a short flight to Delhi where you can connect with your return flight to the USA or join one of our post tour packages. (B)"
