"Day 1: Denver, CO
Upon arrival in Denver, we??l tour the handsome "Mile-High City," including such sights as the Colorado State Capitol, the U.S. Mint, Larimer Square, Coors Field, Cherry Creek, plus lovely parks and homes. After checking in at the Drury Inn and our trip orientation ??et-together,??the Trail Dust Steak House hosts a fun-filled ??elcome to Colorado??dinner. (D)

Day 2: Dillon, CO
Today we??l tour beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park. The trip across the Trail Ridge Road reaches an elevation of over 12,000 feet and features dramatic scenic grandeur throughout. Along our route are the Estes Park resort area, the Alpine Visitor Center, glacial Lake Granby, and Berthoud Pass. This afternoon we??l ride the historic, steam-powered Georgetown Loop Railroad through the silver mining country, then continue on to overnight lodging at the Comfort Suites in Dillon. (B)

Day 3: Alamosa, CO
Continuing south from Dillon through Fremont Pass, this morning?? sightseeing destination is the storied old mining town of Leadville, where we??l visit the Healy House and Dexter Cabin Museums. Next, passing some of Colorado?? highest peaks, we??l head for incredible Great Sand Dunes National Park to explore some of the 55 square miles of shifting dunes by four-wheel-drive vehicle. We??l be guests for two nights in nearby Alamosa at the Best Western Alamosa Inn. (CB)

Day 4: Cumbres & Toltec Railroad
This morning we board the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad for an extraordinary full-day trip between Chama, New Mexico, and Antonito, Colorado. Our trip on this narrow-gauge, steam-powered train features unforgettable views of splendid mountain scenery, including the San Juan and Sangre de Cristo ranges, the Phantom Curve and the Toltec Gorge. Lunch is included at Osier Station. Returning to Alamosa, a delightful dinner has been arranged at Trujillo?? Restaurant. (CB, L, D)

Day 5: Colorado Springs
We head for Royal Gorge, where the world?? highest suspension bridge spans a canyon over 1,000 feet deep. Our admission includes the incline railway to the bottom of the gorge and the aerial tramway. Next we??l ride the Royal Gorge Route Railroad through this dramatic canyon, as we follow the mighty Arkansas River and cross an unusual hanging bridge. In Colorado Springs we??l check-in for two nights at the Drury Inn, then enjoy dinner at the Mason Jar Restaurant. (CB, D)

Day 6: Pikes Peak - Garden of the Gods
Featured today is a trip on the historic Pikes Peak Cog Railway to the summit of majestic Pikes Peak, 14,110 feet above sea level. Our view from the top of Colorado’s most famous mountain is truly outstanding. Next, afternoon touring will include the Old Colorado City Historic District and a visit to the massive red sandstone formations at the Garden of the Gods. This evening, we’re sure to enjoy a delicious ??arewell??dinner at Giuseppe?? Old Depot Restaurant. (B, D)
