Venice has been a major trading route from the fall of the Roman Empire to the modern day. Often referred to as La Serenissima, the most serene, it has attracted artists and traders throughout its history. We have two full days to discover the spires and squares of this remarkable watery-city. Our train takes us to the city that, for many, is synonymous with art itself: Florence - still a living centre of artisan crafts, with bustling workshops carved into the celebrated walls and palazzos of the Renaissance. Departure from Rome by car (rented at the airport or at one of the rental offices located in the city center) to Assisi (178 km). Visit of the Basilica of St. Francis. Proceed to Perugia (25 km) and accommodation. Overnight.

"Day 01: Rome / Naples / Pompei / Sorrento

We will depart from Rome to Naples and stop for a short city tour before we proceed to Pompeii. After lunch, we will visit the excavations. Continue to Sorrento for dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Sorrento / Capri / Rome

Breakfast at the hotel. We will then leave to the island of Capri. Upon arrival, weather permitting, we will visit (by rowing boat) the Blue Grotto and tour the island by minibus. After lunch at Capri, we will then return to Marina Grande to board our boat to Sorrento, from where our journey back to Rome begins. Arrival in Rome, transfer to the hotel and overnight.

"Day 01: Rome / Florence

Departure To Florence. Arrival and transfer to Piazzale Michelangelo to admire the famous view of the city. Going over the Ponte Vecchio, we continue to the historical center. After lunch at a local restaurant, we will take a walking tour to admire the Piazza Santa Croce, the Accademia, with Michelangelo’s famous David, Santa Maria del Fiore church (the Duomo, with its dome by Brunelleschi), the Baptistry, and Giotto’s Belltower.
