Accommodation is in a recently developed agriturismo and working farm complex (5km north of Castelnuovo di Garfagnana and 45min north of Lucca). Converted from an old Tuscan barn and outhouse, the holiday is based in the complex allowing for a flexible approach to relax by the pool or take part in the day’s activities. The agriturismo is located in its own fields and orchards giving idyllic views of the area. The accommodation itself is in separate apartments or villas with a main central lodge. Rooms are mostly en suite. The main lodge is the setting for meals with communal areas such as a games room and gardens to relax in, along with a swimming pool.

After an evening in Venice we visit the carnival mask workshop in the city for a demonstration and explanation of the whole working process. We then enjoy a guided tour of Venice including its famous sites such as St. Marks Square and Ponte dei Sospiri before being transferred to Lake Garda where we stay for the remaining time on the trip. The holiday also includes a day trip to the UNESCO world heritage city of Verona with its historical centre, museums and churches.

We will depart from Rome to Naples and stop for a short city tour before we proceed to Pompeii. After lunch, we will visit the excavations. Continue to Sorrento for dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Sorrento / Capri / Rome

Breakfast at the hotel. We will then leave to the island of Capri. Upon arrival, weather permitting, we will visit (by rowing boat) the Blue Grotto and tour the island by minibus. After lunch at Capri, we will then return to Marina Grande to board our boat to Sorrento, from where our journey back to Rome begins. Arrival in Rome, transfer to the hotel and overnight.
