"On this excursion we will see traditional Dutch scenery as we drive through picturesque towns from Monnickendam to Volendam. Volendam is a traditional old Dutch fisherman?s village situated on the shores of the former Zuiderzee. Carrying on by boat we will visit Marken, an island linked to the mainland by a dike. Some of the inhabitants still wear the traditional Dutch costumes. This tour also includes a visit to a cheese farm.

"This tour covers the magnificent area of the Dutch polder landscape north of Amsterdam, marked by windmills, dikes and ditches.
After stopping to taste some traditionally made products at a cheese farm, we will visit the picturesque villages Edam and Zaanse Schans, where you will have the opportunity to visit a windmill and wooden shoe factory. We will then continue to Volendam and Marken, fishermen?s villages along the former Zuiderzee. Marken used to be an island until it was connected to the mainland by a dike.
