Each ’Walking the Wildside’ adventure is tailor-made to suit your interests. As your guide and natural history interpreter, I will lead from any point on the island. Tours are offered from April 30th to December 15th each year. Customized coastal adventures (amazing winter birding!) can be arranged anytime throughout the year.
Birders will marvel at the diversity of species; amateur botanists will delight in the variety of rare flowering plants found in many parts of the Island; weekend geologists will love the ease with which rock and mineral samples can be collected; fossil specimen literally wash up on the beaches! Walkers and hikers will scramble to photograph the rugged, rocky shores, spectacular vistas and serene ancient hardwood stands.
Any fitness level can be accommodated on one of dozens of trails. Combine a woodland walk with a coastal romp! Full or half day"
