An expert in lacquerware handicraft and a person who is fond of works related to Myanmar traditional art, his parents were born in Phwa Saw Village. In the history of Bagan there was a famous wise queen Phwa Saw who ruled for three consecutive dynasties. She strongly believed in Theravada Buddhism and helped the missionary work of Theravada Buddhism. When the queen expired, the village where she had lived was named after her. Phwa Saw Village was initially restored by the State with the aim of providing information and assistance to foreign visitors looking for a typical village which reflects aspects of Myanmar rural life.
