The founder and managing director, Mrs. Rita de Lange, has always been closely related to the travel business, being the daughter of a Norwegian cruise director taking American tourists on fjord cruises onboard the tiny Norwegian cruise ship ˇ°MS Meteorˇ± in the 1960’s. This way she cruised the beautiful fjords and met the foreign tourists as a child. As a student she chose psychology, but she always had her summer job in the tourist office in Bergen, and kept the travel business close to her heart.
After years of practicing as a licensed clinical psychologist, she finally catches the idea of assisting people throughout the world with their travel arrangements in Norway, showing them the beauty of Norway and the top destinations and providers, based on her local know-how. In 2000 she quit psychology and founded Fjord Travel Norway. Her husband Lars liked the idea and assisted with the funds...
