To accomplish its new objective PS in 1975 bought from the Peruvian government 105 hectareas of land in the Amazon rainforest where it built a jungle lodge called the Explorer’s Inn on the junction of the tambopata and the D’Orbigny rivers in Perú’s SE province of Madre de Dios which capital is Puerto Maldonado only a 30 minutes flight from Cusco.
