"�City Guides, founded in 1978, is a non-profit organization with more than 200 trained volunteers who lead FREE history and architectural walking tours in San Francisco. We are sponsored by the San Francisco Public Library and are a a San Francisco Parks Trust Park Partner. Join us for a walk along the streets, sidewalks, and byways of America’s most beautiful �and fascinating �city!

What
�City Guides volunteers research, develop, organize, and lead free walking tours that focus on the architecture, history, legends, and lore of San Francisco. Walks last from 1-1/2 to 2 hours.
�For a small fee per participant, group tours are also available.

When
�Tours are offered 52 weeks a year, rain or shine. Approximately 30 different walks are offered each month.
�An expanded schedule, offered in May and October, promises additional walks, some of which are given only in these two months.

Where
�Tours are offered in San Francisco’s most famous (or, in some cases, infamous) districts, as well as in some of its more hidden neighborhoods.

"Extranomical Adventures is a San Francisco sightseeing tour company that specializes in tours for people that generally do not like to take tours. Our clientele is very independent and likes to venture to places where most tour companies do not. Due to the small size of our groups, our tours offer a distinct "traveling with friends" feel where most people interact with each other and we are able to visit locations larger vehicles do not; for example the Giant Sequoia grove on our one day Yosemite tour from San Francisco. On our California wine country tours we visit small family owned boutique wineries (too small for large buses) that produce such limited quantities you can only buy their wine at their winery!

We are fully insured and licensed by the State of California Public Utilities Commission and are regulated and inspected annually by the California Highway Patrol. "Shirley Fong-Torres is founder and owner of Wok Wiz Chinatown Tours in San Francisco, California. She is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley. Before opening Wok Wiz, she was an operations manager with Levi Strauss & Co. and a middle school and high school Language Arts teacher, starting her teaching career in Texas.

Fong-Torres is an active member of the Les Dames d’Éscoffier, Chinese Culture Center and the Chinese Historical Society, and was one of the California delegates to the White House Conference on Travel & Tourism. She often serves on the board of directors of the San Francisco Convention and Visitors Bureau.
