"Discover Sailing was established in 2006 by Managing Director Ray Brown to put the experience of sailing on a 40ft yacht within everyone’s reach.



He spent 25 years walking around marinas all over the world lusting over the array of sleek yachts. He was desperate to have a go but without joining a yacht club or finding a friend with a yacht, he found it virtually impossible to get on board, far less get out on the water.



Discover Sailing now fills this gap in the market by offering short sailing trips for non-sailors as well as corporate events. The company also offers sailing and eating packages, there’s nothing like a bracing wind to heighten an appetite.



With Discover Sailing you can participate in the actual sailing of the yacht under the watchful eye of an experienced skipper, or just sit back and soak up the experience whilst enjoying a view of Melbourne from the water. The city looks great from the Bay whether on a morning or afternoon trip or as you sail down the Yarra to Docklands in the evening twilight.

"Go West Tours began operations on 1st September 2000, running day tours from Melbourne to the Great Ocean Road.

Go West’s proprietors - Terry & Fiona Smit - have a strong background in tourism, having extensive international experience in the tourism industry in not only Australia, but also Europe and Africa.



We decided to establish our own operation as we believed that many purported "tours" were really little more than shuttle buses between sightseeing destinations.
